Since the Grouper changes gender, why not Lou?
When they were born, their family and the doctors decreed that Lou would be a woman, and Lou doesn't agree. Lou tells their personal story of transition with humour: from taking testosterone, through stripping, to discovering the queer world.
Lou echoes the questions we all ask ourselves: Are we obliged to be what we've been told to be? Can we reinvent our bodies and our relationship with love? Would it then be possible to rewrite our own history?
