In 1999, casting began to find the young boy who would play Harry Potter and, in the process, become world famous.
Hundreds of boys were auditioned. In the end, only two were chosen. This show tells the story of the one who wasn't chosen.
Numéro Deux looks at the notion of failure and success: how can we be happy when we are confronted daily with a past failure? Is success really the key to happiness? Martin sees his failed casting as an eternal failure that nothing can change. He believes that he alone is responsible for this missed appointment. Nothing and no-one can get him out of this vision of failure. Those around him, on the other hand, see it as the starting point for a new beginning. This bad experience may enable him to become stronger.
It's a matter of perspective.
